Walks

Settled at the base of the South Downs national park and in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty we are spoilt for choice when it come to places to walk, the Ripe and Chalvington area has a large network of public footpaths and bridleways, With most terrain around the villages being a flat incline there are plenty of walks that will suit all abilities. 

If you are feeling adventurous you can walk from Ripe to join the famous 100 mile South Downs Way route at Firle for a 9 day hike.

Don't forget to finish your walk with tea and cake at the village stores!

Cycling

This is a hugely popular area with cyclists due to the flat terrain and intersecting array of country lanes, and of course the perfect refreshment stop at the Ripe villages stores!
