Ripe Nursery School

Ripe Nursery School

Ripe Nursery School is situated in an idyllic setting, next to Ripe Church yet only a five minute drive from the A22 and the A27.  The staff are caring, experienced and well qualified and the Nursery School is led by an experienced qualified teacher.  The school supports children’s social, emotional and educational development with an exceptional ratio of staff to children.  The location is in the heart of the community, and the children enjoy regular visits to places of interest in the surrounding countryside.

Ripe Nursery School has recently achieved its second ‘Outstanding’ grading in every area from Ofsted – you can read the full report here and contact details for the nursery are here.

The school was founded in 1985 by Caroline Bishop in the old Ripe School building, originally built in the 1840s as a National School when universal education reached Sussex. At its peak there were around a hundred children in the primary school, but as numbers dwindled in the 1960s the school closed and by 1985 the building had become the Hayton-Baker Hall, making the lovely space available to the community again, the perfect safe space for the nursery school to grow and call home.

If you would like more details the nursery School has a very informative website you can find it here:
